Although Jamie started his guitar journey as a self taught player, he has since attended music collage, studied privately one to one and has attended master classes with many notable players, Tom Quayle, Levi Clay, Guthire Govan, Mattias Eklundh and Jonathan Kreisberg to name just a few,  Jamie’s continuing passion for education led him to private teaching and passing on some of the knowledge and technique he has acquired over the years, through one to one lessons flexibly designed around the student, from beginner to advanced, concepts, theory and technique, across many styles and genres.

Jamie believes, in a strong foundation in understanding the instrument you choose to play, applying knowledge and employing systems such as the CAGED system to learn the fretboard, with specific focus on chord scale relationships, and employing an interval based approach to improvisation using CAGED, 3nps and other more exotic ideas and strategies to successfully navigate, identify an execute target tones and melodic ideas.
